Barb has a passion for helping families impacted by addiction. In her own journey, she has learned to stay connected with those suffering from addiction, in themselves and/or in others, while still taking care of herself. Her arduous life journey brought her to a place of inner knowing that the antidote to addiction is connection, and that anyone can recover with support. Barb has walked the path she coaches others to walk. She has faced her own fears about addiction, rewritten her own story, and learned how to help those suffering from shame, guilt, and isolation. She shares her learnings in a concrete and helpful way. This allows others to find hope and equanimity even in the most challenging circumstances.
Barb has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Bucknell University; and a Master's Degree in Special Studies with an emphasis in Environmental Health Science from George Washington University. Barb is also a graduate of Accomplishment Coaching. While at the EPA, Barb won EPA's national Excellence in Management Award and successfully completed the Senior Executive Service Candidate program. Barb is also certified to facilitate the Leadership Circle's 360-degree feedback assessment tool; Emotional Intelligence Assessments (EQi-2.0); The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team ®; and the 3 Vital Questions ® e-course.
